1867 Reclaimed Type

Restored Typeface

I’m designing a typeface based on an old bible I have dating back to 1867.

I worked in Scott Library throughout university. I took on a variety of roles, and one year, I was tasked with reviewing donated books and labelling them to be added to our shelves, tossed or donated.

Once, there was this bible which was deemed to be tossed and so I requested to keep it and I took it home and decided to attempt to recreate the beautiful lettering.
